The Idea of Progress (Arnaud TS3)

The idea of progress is the topic of today. Let me explain the reason why I have chosen this topic. To my mind the idea of progress presents advantages and drawbacks. We see them through four documents. One of them is a cartoon, the author wants to show us the perfect society of tommorrow, the second is an extract of novel on mass production clones and fertilising, the third is about Molly's life for make think about real great progress of the science today. And for finish this redaction, let see the last document who is an extract of movie untitled « The sixth day ». In the first document we see a sort of factory of human clones. It's very strange because all the clones look like each other. A little man was selected by the machine and are rejecting in the ben. The cartoonist likely to show a negative aspect because for exemple the rejected clone represent a real person in actual society because he is different of other people. Clones here represent the ideal of a perfect society which is stronger and dark-haired. This document show a society which is standar (?), The second document is an extract of a science fiction novel, intitled « Brave new world » which show a society really advanced in the clone process. In this extract, we see a lot of clones who are the same baby in incubator. A sort of egg which develop a perfect intelligence and a perfect body too. The writter use this way in order to show us the bad aspect of cloning because babies are in a sort of test tube. This is called the « bokanosvskified eggs will bud » and there are no mother, just machines. Imagine you don't have mother, it is horrible ! It's a sort of mass production, so it's a bad form of progress.
